My Story
walk completed, very slowly due to injury but done and I shall miss the collaboration with these wonderful humans who have engaged in some way and many, donated. Thank you.
this money will make a difference - to the sick, injured and all that share their space - even the brave doctors, perhaps especially them sometimes? The trauma that will be in their souls for all time is great.
you, we, are helping. Speaking about it helps, boycotting products, demonstrating, writing to MP's, anything, helps.
it escalates, one voice becomes another. Those that have compassion, can feel for another living creature, that want peace, safety for all, are the best of humanity. I am proud to have worked with each of you in some way. Proud and grateful, honoured. Maria xx I will make this total reach £1500.
just two days left, 10 K to go and turn my ankle really badly today. Somehow to the absolute traumas that are constant in Gaza.
I feel very proud of all the people who have donated, or at least spoken about this now, so many people it seems do not know how to speak about it and do not feel capable of doing anything to help so I supporting this. It is help them find a way also. I hope the seed has been set in each person, following any of our stories here, that each of us can make something happen, can make a difference to someone's life, it is within our power, even when it seems impossible. Imagine if everyone who wants this genocide to stop turned up in front of Parliament.
turned up in front of Parliament.
In any case thank you to everyone who is supported and will continue to support. My injury and snow conditions on the highest fells of the lake district means that my final walk will not be the hard drama that I hoped it would be. It will be wonderful to finish, but I shall miss this collaboration of humanity to a Common goal. Thank you everyone and well done to everyone who has managed this walk. Mx
A night walk in rain on day 10. For some reason this was so hard tonight!
Once again, treading on untrodden ground, finding new places even in the town I live in!
Yesterday I met a lovely Palestinian man - a stranger on a train.
Day 7. A hike to just below the snowline at Bowscale Tarn. Near the Township of Bowscale which might have as many as 20 old stone houses! Mostly farms.

I am striding for Gaza in aid of Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP). A fantastic organisation in a totally catastrophic situation . Please give what you can, thank you. 5k a day, everyday for 20 days!
In this 20 days from February 19th, I shall be completing the distance between Gaza and Occupied East Jerusalem (95km), a journey prohibited for Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees.
Please donate now to help me reach my fundraising target. Your donation will help support MAP's emergency response in Gaza.
You can track my progress on the virtual map below. Thank you!
